ESL video

It's been a discovery this new tool! A very interesting way to integrate new technologies in the classroom. One can find a video in the web or prepare one (perhaps this last option will match better our students needs). Anyway, using already done videos will make students get in touch with real situations and real English. I like the tool and I'll try to use it.

Video Experience

I've done my first video with Animoto. It's been easy and the result not bad but I didn't know what the result would be. I didn't choose the animation of the video. I choose the music, the pictures and the background but not the way it was going to appear. I prefer the Windows Movie Maker, perhaps because I've used it a couple of times.
Anyway here it is my first Animoto video.

It can be used when we talk about the town, to improve vocabulary and study the town not with the photos of the book but with something closer to the students.

My Wiki

The main objective of the wiki I've prepared is that students start reading in English. Although the reading is done in the traditional way, the activities can be a bit different using the computer so they can be more motivated towards an activity they are not very keen even in Spanish.
They can also see the result of a group work and that can be helpful for the less guifted children. As you can see I've prepared two activities: one for the 4th of Primary and one for 5th of Primary.
