New school year, new English subjects

This new school year 2011-2012 has arrived with novelties. We are in the MET project so the hours of English have increased in the 4th year. The main aspect is the teaching of Music and one session of Science  in English. We are also teaching two extra workshops (at lunch time) to reinforce the level of the language.
Here you can see some of the things we do in the Science class.

Reading in second

The children of Second of Primary have started to read in English. They read their first book!. They had to prepare it and then they read it. Finally they expressed their opinion of the book with the stickers as the older students do.It was a great success!

Los alumnos de segundo de primaria han empezado a leer en inglés. Han leído su primer libro. Tuvieron que prepararlo, completarlo, colorearlo y finalmente leerlo. Para terminar han dado su opinión sobre el libro con las pegatinas que colocan en el póster de lectura, igual que hacen sus compañeros de cursos superiores. ¡Ha sido todo un éxito!

After preparing the fruit salad, we made a poster to rememeber the steps we followed. You can see it in the school corridor.

Después de preparar la macedonia hicimos un póster para recordar los pasos que seguimos. Se puede ver en el pasillo del colegio.

Breakfast

Yesterday we had a cooking class, today we had a healthy breakfast. We had fruit, fruit juice, milk and cereals, biscuits and toast with jam. It was delicious!

Ayer preparamos una macedonia, hoy hemos disfrutado de un buen desayuno. ¡Estaba riquísimo!
